Charity Outreach Worker (Volunteer)

 Location: Peterborough and London (Hybrid – In-person & Remote)
Commitment: 12–15 hours/week | July 2025 – February 2026
Compensation: Volunteer Role (Expenses Covered) 


About Hope Haven Initiative (HHI):

HHI is a community-focused non-profit supporting Peterborough residents with mental health resilience, emotional recovery, and life-skills empowerment. We're launching two transformative projects and need a dedicated project coordinator to help bring them to life.


Your Contribution:

The Charity Outreach Worker will support Community Care Personnel's grassroots programmes by delivering hands-on assistance to vulnerable individuals. This includes supporting community sessions, liaising with partners, and contributing to ongoing outreach initiatives aimed at improving digital access, emotional wellbeing, and inclusion.


You Might Be a Great Fit If You:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Passion for community work and social impact.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Basic digital literacy; ability to support others with IT tasks is an advantage.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coordination and delivery of community outreach programmes.
  • Support digital inclusion and employability sessions by helping learners and facilitating activities.
  • Work with beneficiaries one-on-one to identify barriers and provide practical support or referrals.
  • Engage with local partners to maintain strong relationships and community presence.
  • Record and report participation metrics to aid monitoring and impact assessment.
  • Participate in planning meetings with the internal team and partners (such as CCP).
  • Promote safeguarding, inclusion, and dignity for all participants.
  • Attend training and supervision sessions regularly.

Mental Health & Wellbeing Support Worker (Volunteer)

 Location: Peterborough (Hybrid – In-person & Remote)

The Role:

Support and uplift vulnerable residents through our bi-weekly Wellbeing Circles—group sessions focused on anxiety relief, grief processing, confidence building, and emotional wellness. You’ll help create a safe, supportive space for growth.


You Might Be a Great Fit If You:

  • Have Level 3 (or equivalent experience) in mental health, support work, or counselling
  • Are comfortable leading or co-facilitating small group sessions
  • Understand trauma-informed practice and emotional intelligence
  • Want to serve diverse or underserved communities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate group wellbeing sessions around anxiety, grief, and self-confidence
  • Offer informal emotional support and signposting
  • Support creation of mental health resource toolkits
  • Work closely with project coordinator to assess community needs

community Partnerships Volunteer Lead

About Hope Haven Initiative (HHI):

HHI is a grassroots charity focused on mental health, crisis support, and community empowerment. We’re partnering with Community Care Personnel (CCP) on a digital inclusion and employability programme launching this summer, and we’re looking for a proactive individual to help coordinate and strengthen our partnerships.


Your Contribution:

As the Community Partnerships Volunteer Lead, you’ll coordinate HHI’s involvement in joint initiatives with CCP and other stakeholders. You’ll manage volunteer schedules, session logistics, and reporting—ensuring everything runs smoothly and collaboratively.


You Might Be a Great Fit If You:

  • Have experience working with community or charity partnerships.
  • Enjoy building relationships and coordinating logistics.
  • Are a confident communicator with attention to detail.
  • Thrive in structured, purpose-led environments.
     

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and support HHI volunteers across projects.
  • Liaise with partners, particularly CCP, to align delivery plans. 
  • Track attendance, feedback, and session reports.
  • Represent HHI in meetings or planning discussions as needed.

Volunteer Programme Development Lead

Commitment: 10–12 hours/week | July 2025 – February 2026

About Hope Haven Initiative (HHI):

HHI supports vulnerable individuals across the UK with emotional resilience, food support, and community empowerment. We're partnering with CCP on a skills training project and running our own wellbeing programmes in Peterborough. We’re now seeking a creative content lead to support both.


Your Contribution:

As the Volunteer Programme Development Lead, you’ll help shape learning and wellness materials for both CCP and HHI sessions. You’ll assist in designing user-friendly content, tracking participant progress, and improving how we deliver impact-driven education.


You Might Be a Great Fit If You:

  • Have experience in training, education, or content development.
  • Are passionate about mental health and digital empowerment.
  • Have strong communication and writing skills.
  • Are organised, creative, and outcome-focused.
     

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-create and adapt digital learning materials.
  • Assist in workshop and session planning.
  • Track learner feedback and engagement.
  • Collaborate with facilitators to align content with wellbeing goals.
